The law firm Zwanzig Hacke Meilke & Partner looks back on over forty years of tradition and experience in legal services. All partners are dedicated to the values which have always characterized the firm and its founders: clear focus on the clients’ interests, highest standards of professional quality, personal availability and responsiveness, determination, diligence and passion for the clients’ goals.
Important milestones in the firm’s history were the merger of Jürgen Zwanzig, Klaus Peter Hacke and Dr. Jörg Debelius in 1990, the opening of the office in Leipzig with Peter Meilke in the same year and the further growth by the partners Carsten Sewtz (1996), Joachim Hacke (2001), Dr. Rainer Meusel and Rüdiger Meusel (2002 until end of 2022), Dr. Andreas Hacke (2005), Dr. Felix Tietmeyer (2010), Florian Gantenberg (2019) and Andrea Burghard (2024).
Focus Areas
We advise companies and entrepreneurs in all important legal aspects. Our focus is on all aspects of commercial and corporate law, labour law, banking and capital market law as well as restructuring and insolvency law. Further, we specialize on the resolution of commercial and corporate disputes, as well in negotiations and alternative dispute resolution procedures (such as mediation) as in litigation and arbitration proceedings.

For many years, our clients have included well-known companies from different industries, such as advertising, architecture, banking, construction and engineering, energy, family offices, finance, healthcare, hotel and food & beverage industry, insurance, internet, logistics and transport, media, pharma, private equity, retail, steel, telecommunications, textiles and wholesale.
Network and cooperation
We hold close ties to colleagues from adjacent professions (e.g. tax advisors, certified accountants, notaries public, specialist lawyers with other focus areas), allowing to provide services to our clients also beyond its own spectrum.
Further, we are member of the Intercontinental Grouping of Accountants and Lawyers (IGAL). This enables us to make contacts quickly and efficiently with lawyers, accountants and tax advisors outside Germany in all economically important countries of the world and therefore guarantee all-round legal and tax advice for our clients also in international matters. In addition, partners of the firm speak English, French, Spanish, Dutch and Russian.
